Overview
The Syscoin blockchain integrates Bitcoin’s unspent transaction output (UTXO) framework with smart contracts compatible with Ethereum, using a dual-chain structure comprising Syscoin Core and Syscoin NEVM. Its architecture supports decentralised marketplaces, tokenisation of assets and cross-chain communication. The network is merge-mined alongside Bitcoin, thereby inheriting the latter’s security properties.
