Overview
EigenLayer is an Ethereum-based protocol that implements a restaking mechanism. This enables ETH stakers to redeploy their staked ETH to provide security for external networks and services, which are termed Actively Validated Services (AVS). The protocol was developed by Eigen Labs. It functions as an infrastructure layer designed to facilitate decentralised trust.
