Eprint company
Overview
The Cryptology ePrint Archive, accessible at eprint.iacr.org, functions as an open-access preprint server for cryptographic research. It is operated by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR). Christian Cachin and Eli Biham put forward the concept to the IACR Board of Directors in August 1999, and the repository launched later that autumn, designed to enable swift distribution of cryptology findings. Authors submit their own papers, and the only vetting process is a verification that the material pertains to cryptology; no formal peer review is conducted. The archive surpassed 10,000 papers in 2016 and contained over 15,000 by the close of its twentieth year. To safeguard reader privacy, it does not employ cookies or any third-party content.
