Overview
The StarkEx-based Ethereum layer-2 exchange operated by dYdX Trading, known as dYdX v3, was decommissioned in October 2024 as the firm shifted focus to its own dYdX Chain. On October 28, 2024, at 12:05 UTC, all trading activities, oracle price updates and funding payments on v3 were halted. Two days later, on October 30, 2024, the associated Ethereum smart contract was placed into a frozen state. Throughout the wind-down period, users received multiple warnings to withdraw their USDC by the cut-off; any funds not removed remained locked in the Ethereum smart contracts.
