Firedancer Mainnet Beta Launch event
Overview
Jump Crypto's Firedancer, a Solana validator client built from the ground up, aims to improve throughput and client diversity on the network. A hybrid version called Frankendancer, combining Firedancer's networking and block-production elements with the existing Agave runtime, was deployed on Solana mainnet in September 2024. The full Firedancer client, which had been operating on testnet, was not launched on mainnet until December 2025, as announced at Solana's Breakpoint conference.
