A new derivatives venue called Boros went live on Arbitrum on 6 August 2025, built by the Pendle team. The platform applies Pendle’s yield-tokenisation approach to perpetual futures funding rates rather than staking yields, enabling users to hedge or take directional positions on funding via a fully on-chain order book. Pendle described Boros as the first on-chain market dedicated to funding-rate exposure, a product type that had previously been available only through off-chain venues. Following the launch, the platform reported a fast increase in both open interest and notional volume.
