Maple Syrup Pool product
Overview
Maple Finance operates a permissionless lending product called the Syrup pool. Here, depositors provide stablecoins and obtain yield-bearing tokens — syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT — that reflect a portion of Maple's institutional overcollateralised lending portfolio. In contrast to Maple's KYC-restricted institutional pools, Syrup is accessible to any wallet, with redemptions handled via a withdrawal queue or through secondary market liquidity. The yield is generated from interest payments made by institutional borrowers. During 2025, syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT extended beyond Ethereum to chains such as Solana, Arbitrum, Base, and Plasma.
