Saturn One Upgrade product
Overview
Rocket Pool’s Saturn One upgrade went live on Ethereum mainnet on February 18, 2026, as defined by RPIP-55. The protocol change reduces the minimum bond for node operators to 4 ETH per validator, with rETH depositors covering the remainder. It introduces megapools and two validator queue types—express and standard—to boost capital efficiency. A fee switch now channels a portion of protocol ETH earnings to the RPL token, and a withdrawal buffer at the protocol level has been added to support rETH liquidity. Saturn One is the second stage in a three-part rollout that includes Saturn Zero and Saturn Two.
