Overview
Akash Network, the decentralised cloud compute marketplace, introduced AkashML in November 2025. The service provides fully managed AI inference, enabling one-click deployment of open-weight models including Llama, DeepSeek and Qwen through an OpenAI-compatible API. This allows applications designed for that interface to be redirected to Akash. The company states that AkashML operates solely on decentralised GPU resources sourced from providers on its marketplace, and asserts significant cost reductions relative to centralised cloud inference, together with low latency attributed to a broad distribution of datacenter locations.
