Caixabank protocol
Overview
A crypto-asset service provider licence under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework has been granted to CaixaBank. The Spanish lender, one of the largest retail and payments institutions in Europe, now joins every other major domestic bank in holding such authorisation. Through its main banking platform and the imagin app, it provides custody, order execution and transfer services for digital assets. The bank is also a member of Qivalis, a grouping of European financial institutions working on a euro-pegged stablecoin intended for blockchain payments.
