Overview
EIP-7732 formalises an enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS) for Ethereum. The proposal establishes a protocol-level differentiation between the block proposer and block builder functions, intended to mitigate centralisation pressures arising from MEV without reliance on third-party relay networks. It adjusts Ethereum's consensus layer to facilitate trustless, on-chain implementation of PBS.
