Ondo Global Markets protocol
Overview
Ondo Finance and the Ondo Foundation have launched Ondo Global Markets, a platform that tokenises US-listed equities and exchange-traded funds, with each token representing a direct 1:1 claim on the underlying security. The initial rollout includes more than one hundred tokenised stocks and ETFs, with the issuers indicating plans to significantly broaden the offering. Alpaca provides brokerage execution services, while Broadridge facilitates shareholder voting for token holders. The tokens are minted on Ethereum and designed for use as collateral or in lending within decentralised finance protocols. Access is limited to investors outside the United States.
