Overview
The P Chain, also known as the Platform Chain, constitutes one of the three primary blockchains in the Avalanche ecosystem. Its functions include staking, oversight of validators, and the formation of subnets. To achieve secure and efficient performance, it utilises the Snowman consensus mechanism. As a core element of Avalanche’s architecture, the P Chain facilitates both decentralised governance and the deployment of tailored blockchains.
