Overview
Andre Cronje introduced Solidly as a decentralised exchange on Fantom at the start of 2022, blending Curve's vote-escrowed tokenomics with the (3,3) staking game theory from Olympus DAO to create the "ve(3,3)" framework. Participants who provide liquidity or lock tokens receive transferable veNFTs that represent their locked positions, enabling them to direct emission rewards and earn fees from pools they support; the exchange also accommodates both stable and volatile automated market maker curves. After Cronje withdrew from DeFi, the original Fantom deployment faced difficulties, yet the ve(3,3) design was extensively forked and became the leading DEX model across multiple blockchains. Subsequent iterations of Solidly appeared on Ethereum and other networks, featuring a concentrated-liquidity V3 variant.
