Liquity BOLD token
Overview
Liquity V2, the next iteration of the Ethereum borrowing protocol, introduces BOLD as its native stablecoin. Unlike V1's LUSD, which was issued at a fixed zero-interest rate against ETH only, V2 allows borrowers to set their own interest rates, influencing their position's redemption queue priority. The protocol now accepts multiple collateral types: ETH, Lido's wstETH, and Rocket Pool's rETH. BOLD remains native to Ethereum, aiming to minimise centralised collateral risk while improving upon LUSD's peg stability. A key feature is sustainable real yield: BOLD deposited in Stability Pools receives 75% of protocol revenue directly, aligning depositor returns closely with borrower interest. Liquity has stated that over 10 prospective forking teams have signed letters of intent to deploy their own V2 versions on other networks and collateral assets.
Within The Counterparty graph, Liquity BOLD connects to 17 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base.
