Puffer Unifi AVS protocol
Overview
Puffer Finance, the liquid restaking protocol, introduced UniFi AVS in September 2024. The actively validated service, built on EigenLayer, enables Ethereum validators to opt in via EigenLayer and register gateways. Those validators can then issue fast inclusion promises, or preconfirmations, for Ethereum rollups; these promises are backed by restaked collateral that may be slashed if violated. Puffer describes UniFi AVS as a mechanism for existing rollups and based rollups to deliver low-latency confirmations while maintaining alignment with Ethereum validator security. The project has received support from EigenCloud.
Within The Counterparty graph, Puffer Unifi AVS connects to 3 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, EigenLayer, Puffer Finance.
