Overview

Frax has launched frxUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin now live on over twenty blockchains. The issuer says the token is fully collateralised by tokenised US Treasury assets held in bankruptcy-remote structures and managed by BlackRock, Superstate and WisdomTree. Users can mint or redeem frxUSD at par with US dollars. Holders may either keep the token to earn yield derived from the underlying Treasuries or stake it for sfrxUSD, a version that accrues yield over time. On-ramp options include USDC and tokenised Treasury products such as BUIDL, USTB and WTGXX, accessed through FraxNet. Frax also releases periodic reserve balance sheets and transparency reports.
