Honey token
Overview
Berachain's native stablecoin HONEY maintains a soft peg to the US dollar and is backed entirely by approved collateral. Users can create HONEY by locking eligible assets—namely USDC, BYUSD, USDT0 and USDe—via vault contracts managed by the HoneyFactory contract, and can later burn HONEY to reclaim the same collateral, with mint and redemption fees that vary by asset. A safeguard called Basket Mode triggers if a collateral asset loses its peg, forcing redemptions to draw from all collateral types proportionally rather than from a single one. The token incorporates EIP-2612 permits and EIP-3009 transfers, allowing transactions to be executed without gas fees when a third party submits them.
Within The Counterparty graph, Honey connects to 9 tracked entities, most strongly to Berachain, Berachain, Hivemapper.
