Re Protocol reUSD token
Overview
Re Protocol has launched reUSD, a yield-bearing stablecoin. The platform enables onchain depositors to participate in the reinsurance capital market by contributing stablecoins to a pool that backs reinsurance programmes—an asset class traditionally inaccessible to retail investors due to high minimum commitments, necessary industry connections and regulatory hurdles. Re states that returns stem from underwriting revenue and are historically uncorrelated with equities, bonds and crypto, rather than being market-driven. The protocol also offers reUSDe, and notes that yields are not assured and that depositors may lose principal.
Within The Counterparty graph, Re Protocol reUSD connects to 9 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base.
